As part of its efforts to promote a culture of openness and coexistence, and to spread the values of harmony, respect for others, and appreciation of intellectual and cultural diversity, we had the honor of visiting the Sheikh Aql of the Druze Community, His Eminence Sheikh Sami Abou El-Mona, at his residence in Channay, Mount Lebanon.
A large delegation from IDAS included Dr. Samer Ghaddar, Dr. Bassam Bzouen, Dr. Nahed Soussan, Mr. Zahir Ridwan, Dr. Nagy Abdullah, Dr. Mustafa Rakin, Dr. Moussa Souidan, Ms. Bassima Ghaddar, Ms. Malak Shaib, Ms. Lara Ghaddar, Ms. Mahasen Abu Diab, Ms. Dadd Abdelkhaleq, and the Organization's friend, writer Dr. Adnan Hadib.
Dr. Samer Ghaddar, President of IDAS, expressed the organization's role in building harmonious relationships with others across all Lebanese regions and globally. He emphasized that openness and coexistence are essential in the lives of nations and are the key to achieving vision, goals, spreading awareness, culture, social communication, and human coexistence.
For his part, His Eminence Sheikh Sami Abou El-Mona praised the International Organization for Development for its activities and expressed his gratitude for the recent national and humanitarian event hosted by the organization, which gathered a large number of people from all Lebanese regions.
The meeting also addressed the importance of development in all areas. The delegation presented a commemorative gift and an appreciation shield to His Eminence Sheikh Sami Abou El-Mona.
Dr. Adnan Hadib also recited a poem dedicated to His Eminence Sheikh Sami Abou El-Mona.
